The Paralegal is primarily responsible for organizing and coordinating the documentation associated with the Company’s purchase/leasing of real estate. Specifically, the Paralegal is tasked with ordering and reviewing title, preparing relevant documents, tracking milestones and due diligence periods, working with outside counsel in the various markets and assisting with the purchase of real property, and obtaining title insurance. In addition, the position will work with the Company General Counsel to maintain and update corporate records and other Company legal agreements.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Prepare acquisition documents, lease documents, assignments, amendments, licenses, easements, etc.
  • Review and analyze title documents, clear title defects to obtain title insurance
  • Review and analyze land surveys
  • Track due diligence milestones
  • Maintain legal filing systems, both hard copy and electronic
  • Review and abstract, or summarize legal documents
  • Answer routine questions and provide internal and external support regarding legal matters in a high-volume environment while maintaining a focus on client service
  • Assist in maintaining Company database of sites and project milestones
  • Assist in the preparation of other Company agreements
  • Develop a working knowledge of wireless industry
  • Train/educate new and internal employees regarding leases, purchases, title, etc.
  • Perform other tasks as may be assigned.

  • Demonstrated experience in real estate acquisition related businesses
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large volume of simultaneous transactions and multi-task
  • Knowledge of real estate title process, including reviewing title reports, related documents and surveys
  • Previous title experience helpful, either with a title company or law firm
  • Prior knowledge and experience in the wireless industry helpful
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to create forms, agreements, and letters
  • Self-motivated, able to work in a team and independently

Education & Experience:

  • College degree, paralegal certificate, or equivalent work experience as a real estate paralegal or paralegal in the wireless site development industry
  • Minimum 3 years of work experience in real estate or wireless site development industry
